Michelle Neal
Paralegal
Michelle Neal is a Paralegal at Benach Pitney Reilly LLP, where she works directly with clients and attorneys to prepare petitions, applications, and filings.
Michelle’s connection to immigration is personal. Her mother came to the United States as a refugee fleeing the Cambodian genocide and the Vietnam War. Growing up with her mother’s stories gave Michelle a lasting respect for what it takes to start over in a new country, and for how much it matters to have someone patient and knowledgeable in your corner.
Before joining Benach Pitney Reilly LLP, Michelle spent her career in advocacy and international programs, including work with humanitarian organizations and democracy programs in Southeast Asia. She holds a B.A. in Politics from Mount Holyoke College, and an M.A. in Asian Studies and a Certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies from Georgetown University.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys crocheting and drawing portraits of her cat, Juno.
